Identify False Leadership in Workplace

I wrote this so that leaders has way to regulate their actions towards their subordinate, and that subordinate can spot when leaders are taking advantage of them dressed as entitlement.
Identify False Leadership in Workplace in 3 simple ways. Most Leaders describe themselves with three words that rarely survive a bad outcome.
Risk appetite. What’s actually appetized is risk that pays off. The bet that works belongs to the culture; the bet that fails becomes your label.
Empowerment. Authority extends exactly as far as the leader’s own preference. Deviate, and a prescription arrives, dressed as guidance. Empowerment taken away labeled as alignment.
Embrace ambiguity. Often the most flattering name available for abdication. The leader declines to decide, calls the silence trust, and the subordinate who carries the unclear direction becomes the buffer; credited if it works, punished if it doesn’t, hands clean.
The three are one pattern. Abdication is the mechanism; risk appetite and empowerment are how it’s presented. The test, one question each:
What happened to the last person whose bet failed?
What happened the last time someone used their authority to decide differently?
When direction was unclear, did the leader decide or wait to see who’d be wrong?
If you lead people and can’t answer those about your own team, the pattern may be yours.
